TechAK is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our platform — students, coaching institute administrators, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights under Indian law.
This policy is prepared in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using TechAK, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in this policy.
1. What Data We Collect
When you register on TechAK or use our services, we may collect the following types of personal data: your full name and the name of your coaching institute; your email address and phone number; a profile photo if you choose to upload one; content you upload to the platform such as PDFs, images, and videos; information about how you use the platform including pages visited, login times, and actions taken; and technical information such as your browser type, device, and IP address.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also collect transaction identifiers for payment verification purposes. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers — payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to create and manage your account; provide the platform services you have subscribed to or requested; allow coaching institutes to manage their dashboards, websites, and student records; process subscription payments and send invoices; communicate important service updates, maintenance notices, and security alerts; improve platform performance and user experience; and comply with our legal obligations under Indian law.
We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your personal data on the following lawful grounds. We rely on your consent when you register an account and accept this policy. We process data as a matter of contractual necessity to deliver the services you have signed up for. In some cases we are required to process data to comply with legal obligations under Indian law. We may also process data for our legitimate interests, such as maintaining platform security and preventing fraud, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission using HTTPS, secure authentication, and access controls limiting who within TechAK can view personal data.
While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is entirely immune to security risks. In the event of a significant data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
5. Third-Party Services
TechAK uses trusted third-party providers to operate certain parts of our platform, including hosting and server infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and usage analytics. These providers may process limited personal data solely to perform services on our behalf. We select providers who maintain adequate data protection practices and we do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes.
6. User-Uploaded Content
Coaching institutes upload educational materials such as PDFs, videos, and images to the platform. You retain full ownership of the content you upload. TechAK stores this content only to provide the service and does not use uploaded content for any other purpose. You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not infringe the rights of others. TechAK may remove uploaded content in response to a valid copyright complaint or legal order.
7. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you; request correction of any inaccurate or outdated data; request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations; withdraw your consent to data processing at any time; and file a complaint with our Grievance Officer if you believe your data has been mishandled.

8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we may retain certain data for up to one year to comply with legal obligations, after which it will be deleted. Payment records are retained for up to seven years as required by Indian tax laws. Uploaded content will be deleted upon account closure or upon a valid deletion request, unless we are required to retain it by law.
9. Children's Privacy
TechAK does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or submitted personal data to our platform without appropriate consent, please contact us at team@techak.in and we will delete the data promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email or platform notification where required. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
